El Binaa Leader Appeals to the President’s Wisdom and Justice in High-Profile National Matter
Algiers, Algeria | May 4th, 2025 — Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the El Binaa al Watani Movement, has issued an open letter to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune concerning the case of historian Dr. Mohamed Amine Belghith. The letter, made public via the movement’s official page, is a direct and respectful appeal emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the importance of national unity.
In his message, Bengrina begins by humbly affirming his position, stating:
“I would never presume to lecture Your Excellency in patriotism or in the wisdom required to preserve national unity and cohesion, nor would I suggest that you are unaware of the immense challenges and dangers that threaten our country.”
He further asserts that no one understands the intricacies of Algeria’s daily affairs, both internal and external, better than President Tebboune, given his extensive experience and responsibility as Head of State.
Bengrina adds:
“No one, after Allah Almighty, is more aware than Your Excellency of the level of conspiracies targeting nations like ours—emerging countries committed to their principles, sovereign in their decisions, and bound to their people and faith.”
Addressing the President directly, Bengrina says:
“Mr. President and my elder brother, if anyone dares to offer you lessons in such concerns, it would be out of ignorance, recklessness, or political posturing.”
He reiterates his trust in the President’s wisdom and asserts that:
“We do not question the rulings of the Algerian judiciary once issued. However, our confidence in the first magistrate of the country—our President—and our hope in your discernment remain strong, particularly to prevent opportunists from capitalizing on tensions.”
Highlighting Dr. Belghith’s patriotism, Bengrina concludes:
“We believe that the national credentials of a son of martyrs like Dr. Mohamed Amine Belghith will find favor in your judgment. May God protect you, guide your steps, and bless your efforts to lead Algeria forward to overcome all challenges.”
