Algiers, Algeria | June 23rd, 2025 — The President of the El Bina Movement, Abdelkader Bengrina, received on Monday the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Algeria, Mohammad Reza Babaei, in a meeting that addressed the mounting instability in the region caused by the ongoing aggression of the Zionist entity.

According to a statement issued by El Bina, the meeting was held at the ambassador’s request as part of the Iranian embassy’s diplomatic initiative to brief Algerian political leaders and institutions on the latest developments concerning the Zionist-imposed war against Iran.

During the exchange, Ambassador Babaei expressed deep gratitude to Algeria for its consistent and principled diplomatic positions, especially within the United Nations Security Council. He highlighted Algeria’s unwavering support for sovereignty, peace, and regional stability, adding that such solidarity has been keenly appreciated by the Iranian leadership.

The discussion also emphasized the need for coordinated political efforts to counter the dangerous escalation orchestrated by the Zionist entity, whose acts of aggression threaten not only regional equilibrium but also global security.

It is worth recalling that, on Sunday in New York, Algeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Amar Bendjama, delivered a powerful and clear message urging an immediate ceasefire, the resumption of diplomatic negotiations, and a genuine international commitment to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue through peaceful means.

Ambassador Bendjama conveyed Algeria’s profound concern and “deep regret” over the latest destabilizing actions by the Zionist regime, describing the situation as an unprecedented threat that could spiral into uncontrollable consequences for the entire region. He cautioned that undermining the global nuclear security framework would not only imperil regional stability but also pose a serious risk to international peace and security.
