The Summer University to Launch July 26 under the Theme “National Mobilization for Securing Sovereignty and Enhancing Development” with a Month-Long Cycle of Specialized Seminars and Political Training

Algiers, Algeria – July 2025 | In a step towards launching one of the most politically and intellectually strategic events of the year, the National Supervisory Committee for the 2025 Summer University held its final preparatory meeting this Wednesday morning, July 9, 2025. This marks the culmination of five prior coordination sessions that meticulously shaped the program’s framework, objectives, and logistics.

The meeting was chaired by Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the El-Bina Movement, in the presence of Ahmed Mahmoud Khouna, this year’s Summer University Director, alongside members of the national organizing committee. The team confirmed that all foundational arrangements have been completed, paving the way for the successful launch of the Summer University on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

The month-long university will unfold in successive, specialized cohorts, held under the central theme: “National Mobilization for Securing Sovereignty and Enhancing Development.”

Strategic Goals Aligned with National Challenges

The committee outlined a clear set of strategic objectives for this year’s edition. Chief among them is the reinforcement of national awareness regarding the pressing challenges of the current stage, as well as the necessity of mobilizing all national capacities to face them.

The Summer University is intended to:

• Integrate Algerian youth into diverse political formation programs

• Elevate the role of Algerian women in organizational and societal development

• Bolster electoral readiness through grassroots engagement

• Strengthen the movement’s organizational and media infrastructure in anticipation of upcoming elections and national dialogue initiatives

Abdelkader Bengrina emphasized that this Summer University is not merely a political gathering, but rather a national mission aimed at solidifying sovereign independence and fostering sustainable, people-led development.

This year’s program will be distinguished by a wide range of seminars, lectures, and training workshops, led by an elite group of professors, researchers, and experts from within the movement and across the national academic and civic spectrum.
