Algiers – December 2025 – The Minister of Communication, Zoheir Bouamama, on Wednesday presided over the closing ceremony of an English-language training session dedicated to journalists from public media institutions, focused on the “debate of current affairs and news,” according to a statement released by the ministry. The initiative reflects a clear political and professional choice to align national media practices with evolving global standards and to strengthen Algeria’s media presence on the international stage.
Organized in coordination with the International Press Center (CIP) and in partnership with Berlitz Algeria, the training program concluded after an intensive learning cycle that combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. This initiative falls squarely within the framework of the government’s action plan, particularly in the area of institutional communication, and is fully consistent with the orientations of public authorities aimed at promoting the use of English within the media sector.
The program was designed to enhance journalists’ professional competencies by equipping them with advanced linguistic, analytical, and editorial tools. Through specialized courses and interactive workshops, participants refined their writing techniques, strengthened their capacity to analyze complex news content, and engaged with contemporary approaches to news debate and information processing.
