Algiers – December 2025 – The Minister of Communication, Zoheir Bouamama, held a series of meetings with members of Parliament as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination between the executive authority and elected representatives, and to address a range of issues related to the communication sector at both the national and local levels.
According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Communication on Monday, these meetings fall within the framework of reinforcing institutional dialogue and enhancing cooperation between members of the Government and representatives of the people in both chambers of Parliament. Minister Bouamama received, in separate meetings, members of the People’s National Assembly (APN) as well as a member of the Council of the Nation to examine several sector-related dossiers of strategic importance.
The discussions involved Mohamed Nini, Vice-President of the People’s National Assembly in charge of legislation and MP for the wilaya of Skikda; Louardi Bradji, MP for the wilaya of Tébessa; Mohamed Mir, MP for the wilaya of Sidi Bel Abbès; and Hamidi Mankour, member of the Council of the Nation representing the wilaya of Sidi Bel Abbès, the statement specified.
These consultations provided an opportunity to exchange views on challenges and priorities facing the communication sector, while also taking into account local specificities and concerns raised by parliamentary representatives. The meetings reflect the Ministry’s commitment to an inclusive and coordinated approach in the formulation and implementation of public policies related to information, media development, and institutional communication.
