Boumerdes – December 2025 – The Urban Planning and Environmental Protection Police under the Boumerdes Provincial Security Directorate has intensified its field operations, recording a total of 478 violations during the month of November. These infractions span unauthorized construction, urban planning breaches, and environmental offenses.
According to an official statement received by our editorial team, the majority of violations involved the uncontrolled dumping of household waste and construction debris on public roads, as well as illicit or unlicensed constructions. Such practices, officials warn, undermine urban organization and threaten environmental sustainability.
The communiqué further highlighted that the units of the Urban and Environmental Police operate in close coordination with municipal technical services and the judiciary, ensuring strict enforcement of laws and regulations related to urban planning and environmental protection across the province.
Authorities emphasized their commitment to safeguarding public spaces and maintaining environmental integrity, signaling a proactive stance against violations that compromise the urban and ecological fabric of Boumerdes.
