Caught in flagrante delicto: Mayor of Tessala Merdja arrested

ALGIERS- The Bir Touta judicial police services arrested,  in the night of Wednesday to Thursday, at 10:30 p.m., in flagrante delicto the president of the APC (communal popular assembly) of Tessala Merdja, an Algiers commune located in the south- west of the capital.

According to a press release issued, on Thursday, by the Algerian police, the suspect, caught red-handed, was to receive the sum of 20 million centimes in exchange for the release of a project of an entrepreneur. “The suspect has been remanded in custody while the investigation is underway, the same source concluded.
