Algiers- Algeria, May 7, 2024 – The Intensive Language Teaching Center (CEIL) at the University of Algiers 1 organized, on May 7, 2024, at the university’s central library, a study day on the Teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) program. The opening session was led by Pr. Aisha Boureghda, the head of the center’s scientific committee.
Following the opening remarks, Mrs. Rachida Ourzikene, a French language teacher at the CEIL, gave a presentation on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Subsequently, Mrs. Naima Abila-Amalou, the director of the center, and Mrs. Fadila Sadmi, an English language teacher, delivered a joint presentation on the ESP program.
The study day attracted a number of teachers and concluded with a productive debate session.
