Chery Cars Make Their Debut in Algeria

ALGIERS- Yesterday, Thursday, marked a significant milestone as the first batch of Chery cars, manufactured in China, arrived at the port of Djen Djen in Jijel, Algeria.

This momentous occasion serves as a preliminary step towards the official launch of the Chinese brand in the national market, following the implementation of specifications approved by the Ministry of Industry.

In a bid to establish a strong presence across the country, Chery’s Algerian subsidiary has issued a call for expressions of interest to economic operators in the sector. The aim is to open showrooms in various wilayas, including Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbès, Mascara, Saida, Béchar, Mostaganem, Guelma, Skikda, Laghouat, Biskra, Médéa, and Tamanrasset.

Chery has ambitious plans to introduce a total of 08 models from its Tiggo (4×4) and Arrizo (sedan) ranges in Algeria. These models include the Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 8, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 4, Tiggo 2 Pro, Arrizo 6, and Arrizo 5.

With this exciting development, Chery aims to captivate the Algerian market with its diverse and high-quality vehicle offerings. The Tiggo range, known for its exceptional off-road capabilities, will cater to adventure enthusiasts seeking reliable and robust vehicles. Meanwhile, the Arrizo range, with its sleek and elegant sedans, will appeal to those in search of style and sophistication.
