CNEP-Bank Strengthens Digital Connectivity through Partnership with Algerie Telecom

Algiers, Algeria – In a significant move towards advancing digital services in the financial sector, the Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid, and the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, presided over the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between the National Savings and Provident Fund (CNEP-Bank) and Algerie Telecom.

The agreement, signed by CNEP-Bank’s CEO, Samir Tamrabet, and Algerie Post’s CEO, Louai Zidi, is part of the Finance sector’s digitization program. It reflects a steadfast commitment to modernizing banking services and enhancing citizen-centric offerings. The collaboration encompasses various services, including the introduction of the Savings Card to replace traditional savings booklets, the establishment of the customer portal ecnep.poste.dz, and the implementation of a real-time SMS notification system for CNEP-Bank clients.

Minister Laaziz Faid commended the “efforts made by CNEP-Bank to provide high-quality digital products accessible to individuals, professionals, and institutions.” He emphasized that this agreement is a testament to the significant progress achieved in modernizing and digitizing financial services to align with contemporary standards.

These advancements contribute to promoting financial inclusion and stimulating the economy to achieve sustainable development goals, added the minister. Laaziz Faid called on banks and financial institutions to adopt a strategic approach that combines efforts from all sectors to keep pace with technological advancements, in line with the vision set by the country’s highest authorities.
