ALGIERS- During the Council of Ministers meeting held this Sunday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, urged the government to prioritize the enhancement of internet connectivity for vital sectors, including higher education, education, finance, banking, and other economic fields. In his address, President Tebboune emphasized the need to bolster internet network protection and stressed the importance of considering satellite technology for providing internet services. He has instructed the sector minister to formulate a comprehensive plan for this endeavor.

The Council of Ministers convened to discuss critical matters related to the nation’s progress, with President Tebboune leading the charge towards a brighter digital future for Algeria. Acknowledging the integral role of robust internet connectivity in the development of vital sectors, President Tebboune expressed his commitment to ensuring that Algeria’s internet infrastructure is of the highest quality.

The President’s vision encompasses a multifaceted approach that aims to revolutionize key sectors of the country. Education, especially at the higher level, stands to benefit significantly from an improved internet connection. The availability of high-speed internet will enable students and educators to access a wealth of educational resources and foster research and development, contributing to the growth of Algeria’s intellectual capital.

The financial and banking sectors are another cornerstone of the nation’s economy that will witness substantial improvements. With advanced connectivity, these sectors can streamline operations, enhance data security, and provide more efficient services to the citizens.

Moreover, other economic fields such as e-commerce, agriculture, and industry will benefit from the proposed advancements in connectivity. This move aligns with President Tebboune’s mission to diversify the Algerian economy and create a conducive environment for business growth and innovation.

One of the President’s key concerns is the protection of the nation’s internet network. With the increased reliance on digital infrastructure, the issue of cybersecurity becomes paramount. President Tebboune’s vision includes a comprehensive approach to safeguarding the internet against cyber threats and breaches, ensuring the privacy and security of the users.

In a bold and forward-thinking move, President Tebboune has also directed the sector minister to explore the utilization of satellite technology in providing internet services. Satellite technology offers a viable solution for extending high-quality internet access to remote and underserved areas, bridging the digital divide and promoting digital inclusion.

The deployment of satellite technology can revolutionize Algeria’s internet landscape, enhancing the nation’s digital capabilities and connectivity. It will not only support the objectives of vital sectors but also elevate the country’s overall technological standing on the global stage.
