On President Tebboune’s orders, a high-level government delegation assesses emergency relief operations and damage recovery following severe weather across several regions.

Algiers, Algeria | May 17th, 2025 — In a swift and decisive move reflecting the Algerian government’s commitment to citizen welfare, a high-ranking ministerial delegation, led by the Minister of the Interior, Local Assemblies, and Urban Planning, Brahim Merad, visited several regions severely affected by recent extreme weather conditions. This urgent field mission was carried out on Saturday, May 17, 2025, under the direct instruction of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Minister Merad was accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, the Minister of Water Resources, as well as the Director General of Civil Protection.
