Algiers, Algeria | July 7th, 2025 — In a diplomatic and political encounter, Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the El Binaa El Watani Movement, received Azam Al-Ayyoubi, Secretary-General of the Justice and Democracy Forum, during the latter’s official visit to Algeria.

The meeting, held Saturday at the Movement’s headquarters, comes as part of El Binaa’s ongoing engagement with key actors across the Arab and Islamic worlds, particularly those committed to justice, liberation, and democratic values. At the heart of the discussions was the Palestinian cause—described as the central issue of the Ummah—and Algeria’s unwavering, principled support for Palestine in the face of Israeli aggression and occupation.

The Justice and Democracy Forum represents a transnational coalition of political parties and grassroots movements from Africa and Asia, unified in their advocacy for just causes and the defense of peoples’ rights, particularly in Palestine. The Forum serves as a coordination mechanism to align democratic forces across continents in resisting colonization, opposing foreign interference, and sharing democratic development experiences.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the shifting geopolitical landscape of the region. Bengrina warned against the deepening Israeli aggression targeting not only the Palestinian people but also the broader regional stability, facilitated, he lamented, by certain Arab regimes that have chosen complicity over solidarity. He emphasized the imperative of fortifying internal fronts and regional alliances to shield the region from Zionist infiltration and hegemonic ambitions.

The President of El Binaa seized the occasion to reiterate Algeria’s historic and principled position in supporting oppressed peoples and sisterly nations under occupation or aggression. He voiced Algeria’s full solidarity with Lebanon, whose sovereignty and stability are increasingly under threat, and reaffirmed the Algerian people’s consistent and moral alignment with all struggles for dignity and liberation.

For his part, Azam Al-Ayyoubi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Algerian nation on the occasion of its Independence Day anniversary, hailing Algeria as a symbol of liberation and an uncompromising voice in international arenas on issues of justice, particularly Palestine. He expressed the readiness of the Justice and Democracy Forum to deepen cooperation with Algerian democratic movements and to build bridges with pro-justice forces across Africa and beyond.

Both leaders concluded the meeting with a shared commitment to resisting normalization with the Zionist entity, strengthening strategic ties among pro-liberation actors, and confronting all forms of aggression against sovereign nations.
