Algiers – September 2025 – At a pivotal moment for the African continent, the Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Younes El-Menfi, underscored the strategic significance of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), hosted by Algeria in its fourth edition. He stressed that “the projects to be launched from Algeria in the framework of this fair will generate a positive impact for the continent as a whole, by reinforcing stability and stimulating growth.”
The Libyan leader further highlighted that the IATF, held under the banner “Gateway to New Opportunities” from September 4 to 10, represents far more than a commercial exhibition. It embodies a strategic choice for Africa: to reclaim agency over its economic destiny, harness its abundant natural and human resources, and build resilient intra-African networks that reduce dependence on external markets.
His remarks resonated with the broader continental vision promoted by Algeria — a vision anchored in solidarity, stability, and shared prosperity. By hosting the IATF, Algiers positions itself as a central hub for dialogue, investment, and cross-border partnerships, signaling its readiness to accompany Africa’s march toward a more integrated economic order.
