Party President Fateh Boutbig denounces smear campaigns targeting Algeria’s identity, unity, and sovereignty, and reaffirms support for national institutions and the President’s mobilization measures.
Algiers, Algeria | May 3rd, 2025 — The El Moustakbal Front has expressed deep regret and grave concern over recent offensive content broadcast by Emirati media outlets, which it described as direct attacks on Algeria’s historical depth, national values, and unifying principles.
In an official statement released on Saturday, the party strongly condemned the rhetoric used by certain media platforms affiliated with the United Arab Emirates, stating that the discourse in question carried premeditated intentions and sought to sow confusion and discord among the Algerian people. According to the party, these actions constitute a blatant violation of the basic norms of mutual respect between nations and are entirely divorced from the ethics of journalism or the spirit of brotherhood that should govern inter-Arab relations.
The statement emphasized that Algeria, a country forged through a great revolution and a sovereign independence rooted in the will of its people, categorically rejects any attempt to mock or target its symbols, identity, and historical legacy. “The dignity of Algerians, their collective consciousness, and their deep-rooted attachment to their civilizational references are the unbreakable shield against all campaigns of distortion and defamation,” it read.
El Moustakbal Front reaffirmed its full support for state institutions in their firm stance against these transgressions and highly praised the measures enacted by the President of the Republic—particularly the General Mobilization Law—which reflects the state’s commitment to defending national sovereignty and strengthening Algeria’s capacity to confront all forms of challenges.
Furthermore, the party stressed that the most effective response to such provocations lies in reinforcing national unity, closing internal ranks, and redoubling efforts to build a strong, independent state governed by sovereign decision-making and firm cohesion.
Dr. Fateh Boutbig, President of the El Moustakbal Front, called on all national forces to prioritize the higher interest of the country and to stand united against any rhetoric aimed at destabilizing Algeria or undermining its identity.
“The Algerian nation will not falter in the face of provocations,” the statement concluded, “but will grow stronger and more unified, as long as it relies on the awareness of its people and a national leadership that places sovereignty above all else.”
