Electoral Constituencies Bill Presented to Council of Nation

Interior Minister Saïd Sayoud on Wednesday presented a detailed report before the Council of the Nation on a draft law defining electoral constituencies and determining the number of seats to be filled in Parliament.
The presentation took place during a plenary session chaired by Azzouz Nasri, in the presence of Nadjiba Djilali.
In his address, Sayoud stated that the draft law forms part of the legislative framework governing elections and aligns with the political and administrative reforms initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
He added that the text establishes the basis for defining electoral constituencies and distributing parliamentary seats, with the aim of ensuring balanced representation that reflects territorial realities and supports equitable political presence within legislative institutions.
