In a powerful statement to Dzair Tube, Sudan’s senior diplomatic advisor Ahmed Ali Abdelkader outlines decisive military advances, accuses RSF of war crimes, and slams the international community’s deafening silence amid the Sudanese army’s march to restore sovereignty.

Algiers, Algeria | May 26th, 2025 — In an exclusive interview with Dzair Tube, Sudan’s senior diplomatic advisor, Ahmed Ali Abdelkader, delivered a message regarding the dramatic turning point in Sudan’s ongoing conflict. He confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) are making “decisive and historic progress” on all battlefronts as part of “Operation Dignity,” a national campaign to reclaim the country from the grip of the “rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF)” militia.

“The armed forces have entered the final stages of a critical and fateful battle to liberate Sudan. The past week alone has witnessed strategic victories that are changing the tide of this war,” Abdelkader stated to Dzair Tube.

Among the most significant developments, Abdelkader confirmed the full recapture and cleansing of the capital, Khartoum, from militia remnants—a city he described as “a symbol of political and sovereign authority.” He further revealed that the entire White Nile State has come under SAF control, in addition to a major breakthrough in South Kordofan with the liberation of the city of Al-Dibaybat, a strategic stronghold long contested by RSF forces.

“These field victories reflect the accelerating collapse of the RSF, whose ranks are crumbling under heavy losses in both personnel and military equipment. Their morale has plummeted, and their battlefield presence is deteriorating rapidly,” Abdelkader noted.

But while hailing military gains, the Sudanese diplomat issued a scathing indictment of the RSF’s conduct. He accused the rebel militia of systematic war crimes, including:

• Mass killings of civilians,

• Deliberate starvation tactics,

• Destruction of critical health infrastructure, leading to a cholera outbreak and mass fatalities, especially in displacement areas.

• Alarming reports of toxic weapons being used against civilians, and

• Ongoing ethnic cleansing and atrocities against the Kababish tribes for the fourth consecutive day.

“These heinous acts amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. They demand an urgent international investigation, and silence is no longer an option,” Abdelkader stressed.

The advisor strongly condemned the muted reaction of the international community, which he described as “shamefully complicit” through its inaction and selective application of human rights discourse:

“While the world turns a blind eye to the massacres of our people, it continues to speak of ‘human rights’ only when it comes to imposing sanctions on Sudan and its people,” he charged.

Abdelkader did, however, express deep gratitude to the Sudanese people, praising their resilience and unity behind the armed forces in this national struggle. He also acknowledged “friendly and brotherly nations” that have supported Sudan in its darkest hour.

He concluded with unwavering confidence:

“Victory is near. The Sudanese Armed Forces will continue fulfilling their national duty to restore the state from the clutches of this Emirati-backed terrorist militia. Sudan will prevail.”
