Algiers, Algeria | June 21st, 2025 — In a firm and forward-looking address delivered from the coastal city of Tipaza on Saturday, Fateh Boutbigh, President of the El-Moustakbal (Future) Front, called for the urgent and sustained strengthening of Algeria’s internal front to confront the growing array of domestic and international challenges. The statement came during the opening of a regional coordination meeting of party cadres from across central provinces, and was reported by the Algerian Press Service (APS).

“The consolidation of the internal front and national cohesion around Algeria’s strategic choices is a national imperative in the face of rising threats and transformative geopolitical shifts,” declared Boutbigh. He emphasized that Algeria stands at a defining juncture where unity, social resilience, and political vigilance are paramount for safeguarding national sovereignty.

Boutbigh praised what he described as the “strategic foresight and wisdom” of Algeria’s senior leadership, notably the reform agenda led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which he said has produced tangible achievements, particularly in social justice and the preservation of historical memory.

Referring to Algeria’s recent legislative reforms—such as the newly proposed pension law, which reaffirms the country’s social-state model—he emphasized that these measures serve not only as social safety nets but also as pillars of national stability. “These reforms reflect a firm commitment to equity, justice, and protection of vulnerable segments of society,” he said.

The El-Moustakbal leader further asserted that Algeria, despite enduring complex and multi-dimensional pressures, has succeeded in restoring its weight and credibility on the international stage, while at home it has maintained the strength of its social fabric, deeply rooted in national identity, security, and the legacy of its liberation struggle.

Boutbigh sharply criticized the past “policies of despair and institutional erosion,” saying the current administration has reversed that trajectory by reinstating citizen confidence, affirming state authority, and enhancing political, economic, and diplomatic assertiveness.

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that greater victories await Algeria, as long as its people remain united, vigilant, and invested in defending the country’s core values and strategic direction.
