Algiers, Algeria | May 30th, 2025 — In a resolute address marking the opening of the ordinary session of the National Council, Youcef Aouchiche, the First National Secretary of the Front of Socialist Forces (FFS), issued a powerful call to action for the creation of a solid patriotic front dedicated to defending Algeria against escalating subversive attempts aimed at destabilizing the nation.

Against the backdrop of a volatile and complex international landscape, Aouchiche stressed that every sincere patriot concerned with the country’s future must demonstrate clarity of vision, unwavering determination, and unity. He underscored that only a unified national front can effectively resist the insidious “subversive enterprises” threatening Algeria’s stability.

Highlighting the prevailing geopolitical tensions, Aouchiche condemned the relentless struggle among global powers for territorial influence and economic advantage, characterizing these struggles as “hybrid wars” that combine misinformation campaigns, economic coercion, covert alliances, and proxy conflicts.

“Our vital space, situated at the strategic crossroads of Africa and the Mediterranean, cannot escape this harsh reality. Algeria today faces relentless targeting, covetous interests, and manipulative schemes aimed at undermining our nation,” Aouchiche warned emphatically. “The stakes extend beyond mere security or sovereignty — the very future of our country hangs in the balance. Attempts to destabilize by fracturing social cohesion, fragmenting identities, and weakening resilience serve foreign agendas alien to our deepest aspirations,” he declared.

In addition to this clarion call for unity, Youcef Aouchiche announced the commencement, starting this Saturday, of a nationwide series of regional meetings designed to mobilize and prepare the FFS for active participation in the upcoming legislative and local elections.
