FFS Leader Youcef Aouchiche Frames Upcoming Legislative Elections as a “Moment of Truth”

Tizi Ouzou — The First National Secretary of the Socialist Forces Front (FFS), Youcef Aouchiche, underscored on Saturday the significance of the forthcoming legislative elections, describing them as a decisive juncture for political engagement in Algeria.
Addressing a public meeting in Aïn El Hammam, Aouchiche characterized the upcoming electoral process as a “moment of truth,” placing it at the center of the party’s political strategy and national outlook.
He affirmed that the FFS’s participation is guided by a clearly defined approach aimed at restoring the primacy of political action, reclaiming democratic spaces, and conveying the voice of the people. “We will approach these elections with lucidity, determination, and a spirit of commitment,” he stated, adding that the party intends to broaden its presence across the national territory as well as within the Algerian diaspora.
Aouchiche further emphasized that the elections should not be viewed as an end in themselves, but rather as a critical stage carrying broader implications for the country’s future. In this regard, he called on citizens to actively engage in the process, noting that the stakes extend to the nation’s sovereignty, cohesion, and unity.
