ALGIERS- On behalf of the President of the Republic, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived Tuesday evening in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the proceedings of the 44th ordinary session of the African Union (AU) Executive Council, scheduled for February 14th and 15th.
According to a statement from the ministry, this session is part of the preparation for the 37th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, scheduled for February 17th and 18th.
The proceedings will address various topics related to international and regional developments, as well as collective African action in its diverse security, political, economic, and social aspects, the statement adds.
The statement also specifies that on the sidelines of the Executive Council’s proceedings, Minister Ahmed Attaf is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several of his counterparts from brotherly African countries.
