ALGIERS- The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Tuesday, chaired the meeting of the High Commission for the Control of Customs Declarations and Commercial Transactions. This significant move reaffirms the nation’s commitment to fostering an open and transparent foreign trade environment, aimed at accelerating economic growth and promoting fair trade practices.

The meeting, held at the presidential palace, saw the participation of key stakeholders from various government departments, including trade and finance officials, representatives from the private sector, and experts in international commerce. President Tebboune underlined the importance of optimizing the customs processes and commercial transactions to fortify Algeria’s position in the global trade arena.

According to a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic, the primary objectives of the High Commission meeting were to assess the current state of customs operations, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise effective strategies to streamline procedures.
