Géant Electronics Expands Production with Two New Units for Air Conditioners and Refrigerators in January

ALGIERS- Géant Electronics, a prominent player in Algerian electronics and home appliances, is set to launch two new production units dedicated to air conditioners and refrigerators in January 2024. This announcement comes as the company actively participates in the 31st edition of the National Production Fair, a showcase of Algerian innovation and industry at the Maritime Exhibition Palace, running until December 23.

In a statement at the event, Farah Ouchabane, Marketing Director for the Algerian brand, emphasized the competitive nature of the home appliance sector, seeing healthy competition as a catalyst for progress and the delivery of high-quality products to Algerian consumers.

“The home appliance sector is highly competitive, which is a positive force driving us to continuously improve and offer quality products to Algerian consumers,” stated Ouchabane. She further expressed that the National Production Fair provides an excellent opportunity to connect with consumers and present them with top-notch products at competitive prices.

Géant Electronics plans to inaugurate two production units for air conditioners and refrigerators, both with 100% Algerian expertise. These new production lines, situated in Bordj Bou Arreridj alongside the existing six units, are expected to create 7000 new job opportunities and commence operations in January 2024.

Highlighting Géant Electronics’ commitment to local integration, Ouchabane revealed that the new refrigerator model boasts an impressive 70% integration rate. The robust design, coupled with a straightforward aesthetic, includes parts with a 10-year warranty and a comprehensive after-sales service provided directly at customers’ homes.

Known for its popular “Géant” demo, the Algerian manufacturer has a diverse product range, featuring not less than 263 items, including refrigerators, stoves, and more.

Looking beyond national borders, Géant Electronics, with successful experiences in Mauritania and Tunisia, has ambitious plans to enter the Senegalese market in January. The company’s strategic expansion aims to introduce its proven quality and innovation to international consumers, reinforcing its position as a key player in the global electronics market.
