Algiers, Algeria | July 17th, 2024 — The General Caliphate of the Tidjania Brotherhood in Aïn Madhi, Laghouat, has issued a call to the Algerian people to participate en masse in the upcoming presidential election on September 7, 2024, and to support the New Algeria project.
In a communiqué, Sheikh Ali Belarabi Tidjani, the General Caliphate, emphasized the significance of this political milestone, urging Algerians to “participate massively to provide the winner with the full constitutional legitimacy needed to guide Algeria towards prosperity.”
A Clear Path Forward
“The ultimate decision lies with the free and sovereign Algerian people,” stated Sheikh Tidjani. He acknowledged that the country is on the right track, with its future becoming clearer thanks to the achievements and decisions made so far. “Algeria has reconnected with its civilizational heritage, cultural legacy, regional influence, and internal geography, inspired by the Declaration of November 1,” he added, urging citizens to maintain this positive trajectory.
Support for the Current Leadership
Sheikh Tidjani highlighted the efforts of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the current leadership in navigating the country through both internal and external challenges. He called on all segments of Algerian society to support the New Algeria project and participate in the upcoming presidential election as a religious and civic duty, in fidelity to the oath of the martyrs, and to secure the future of the younger generations.
“The final decision rests with the free and sovereign Algerian people,” he reiterated, underlining the importance of this electoral process in shaping the country’s destiny.
