Algiers, Algeria | June 8th, 2025 — In a solemn and dignified atmosphere reflecting the spirit of Eid Al-Adha, Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), presided over the official ceremony of Eid greetings this Sunday in Algiers.

According to a communiqué released by the Ministry of National Defence (MDN), the ceremony took place at the Ministry’s headquarters and brought together the Secretary General of the Ministry, commanders of the various military forces, heads of departments, as well as directors and senior officials of the central services affiliated with both the Ministry and the General Staff of the ANP.

This ceremonial gathering served not only as a formal occasion for extending Eid wishes, but also as a reaffirmation of cohesion, discipline, and collective responsibility within Algeria’s military institution. It underscored the leadership’s enduring commitment to maintaining a strong and unified defence structure, guided by patriotic values and unwavering loyalty to the nation.

General Chanegriha’s presence at the event reinforced the symbolic and operational centrality of the armed forces during national occasions, emphasizing their role in safeguarding Algeria’s sovereignty and stability, particularly in the current regional context.
