Google Celebrates Algerian Independence Day, Honoring National Pride

ALGIERS- In a gesture that resonates with the hearts of Algerians worldwide, Google, the renowned global web search engine, joined the celebration of Algeria’s Independence Day. On this momentous occasion, marking the 61st anniversary of Algeria’s recovery of national sovereignty, Google paid tribute to the spirit of independence and the resilience of the Algerian people.

On Wednesday, July 5th, users visiting Google’s homepage were greeted with a captivating display adorned with the vibrant colors of the Algerian national emblem. The iconic green, white, and red symbolized the unwavering spirit of the Algerian nation.

Algeria’s Independence Day holds deep historical significance, commemorating the end of a long and arduous struggle against colonial rule. The day marks the culmination of the Algerian War of Independence, which lasted from 1954 to 1962 and resulted in the nation reclaiming its independence and forging a path towards self-determination.
