Higher Education: Ministry Announces Recruitment of 2000 University Professors

ALGIERS- In a significant development for the higher education sector, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, declared on Thursday the recruitment of 2000 university professors.

Minister Baddari specified that upcoming recruitment competitions for assistant professors and hospital-university teachers would be initiated based on the specific needs of each university institution.

The announced positions for recruitment include 1,725 posts for Class “B” assistant professors, 200 positions for hospital-university teachers, and 75 positions for students returning from abroad.

This move is part of the ministry’s commitment to strengthening the academic staff in Algerian universities and ensuring that the institutions have the necessary human resources to meet the evolving demands of higher education.
