Humanitarian Commitment: ANEP Delivers 100 Specialized Wheelchairs for Individuals with Cerebral Palsy

According to the organizers, this act of solidarity stems from the outcomes of the National Meeting of Associations for People with Special Needs, held last September. It embodies “a concrete contribution to supporting this vulnerable category within the framework of consolidating participatory action between state institutions and civil society organizations, while strengthening national values of solidarity and social responsibility.”

In his address, Mr. Algham underlined that this initiative “reflects the depth of awareness and sense of responsibility towards a cherished segment of our society.” He emphasized that the delivery of 100 wheelchairs “is not merely a charitable act, but a message of human and social commitment that reaffirms ANEP’s determination to support all efforts that serve civil society and enhance social inclusion.”

Praising the National Observatory of Civil Society, Mr. Algham commended its role in “promoting associative action and reinforcing the principles of citizenship, cohesion, and mutual aid.” He further lauded the associations devoted to assisting people with disabilities, describing them as “a true model of determination, perseverance, and generosity.”

Reiterating ANEP’s unwavering commitment, Mr. Algham affirmed: “Our institution remains steadfast in supporting such noble humanitarian initiatives and in working hand in hand with all partners to build a cohesive, respectful, and cooperative society.”

For her part, Ibtissem Hamlaoui praised “the Algerian State’s ongoing efforts in accompanying and supporting people with disabilities,” while emphasizing “the fundamental role of civil society in providing sustained assistance to this vital segment.”

She also highlighted the exemplary work of the National Association ‘Amal Al-Hayat’ for the protection of children with cerebral palsy, particularly its activities within rehabilitation centers and the aid it provides to families in need. Hamlaoui stressed that such initiatives “have a profoundly positive impact on the morale of both children and families who rely on continued support and compassion.”

Concluding her remarks, Hamlaoui commended ANEP’s generous gesture, affirming “the importance of standing by these groups within society and supporting the associations that work tirelessly for their well-being and dignity.”
