Algiers – September 2025 – In a resolute reaffirmation of Algeria’s social contract, Minister of the Interior, Local Assemblies and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, declared on Tuesday that the Algerian State continues to enshrine the citizen as the central pillar of all national policies and development strategies.
Speaking during a field inspection in the commune of Aïn Sefra, where he reviewed the progress of the rehabilitation project of Colonel Lotfi Street, Sayoud stressed that the remarkable advances witnessed in recent years are the tangible fruit of ambitious state-led development programs. These, he affirmed, have not only stimulated socio-economic dynamism but also modernized public service management, bringing governance closer to the people and enhancing their living conditions.
According to the Minister, these achievements were made possible by a “synergy of efforts, complementarity of actions, and effective coordination between local authorities and civil society.” This participatory approach, he underlined, has been instrumental in consolidating the State’s vision of balanced development across all wilayas, ensuring that no region is left behind.
Sayoud also highlighted the vast financial resources mobilized by the State in recent years, emphasizing that these investments were channeled toward projects spanning diverse sectors and municipalities nationwide. Such commitments, he added, illustrate the government’s determination to translate political promises into concrete, citizen-centered realities.
