Algiers – September 2025 – It does not surprise me that Abdou Semmar dares to attack me; after all, he has built his so-called “career” on defamation, distortion, and slander—not on honest journalism. What is laughable, however, is that he cannot even fabricate a credible accusation against me. He ends up mocking my social standing before I rose in the media field, and ridiculing my love for the Arabic language, as though either of these were crimes.
You mercenary, Semmar—I am proud to be an Arabophone, the very identity you try to twist into an insult. Arabic is the tongue of the Algerian people, the embodiment of their civilizational heritage, the language of the homeland we carry in our hearts. I am equally proud to have learned English and to strive to master it fluently. I am neither insecure nor burdened with complexes. To me, learning is a badge of honor, and determination is a weapon. It was this iron will that enabled me to establish Dzair Tube and transform it into a national media fortress—one that terrified you, unsettled your nights, and shook your fraudulent foundations. You know this better than anyone.
I studied journalism at university, trained under distinguished professors, completed internships early on, and published my first articles in national newspapers at the age of nineteen. I have worked—and continue to work—in real newsrooms. I have traveled to several countries. All of this has only deepened my dedication to my profession. Meanwhile, you, Abdou, never knew journalism except as a means of mercenary survival, climbing on the backs of others.
You ridicule my humble beginnings, claiming I could not even afford a sandwich. Yes, I was simple, and I remain simple still. This is not an insult but a mark of honor. To build oneself from nothing, with sweat and integrity, is infinitely more noble than to live off extortion, blackmail, and betrayal. Poverty is not a disgrace—dishonor is. Mercenary journalism is. Intellectual servitude is.
I once served as a police officer, and I sacrificed my post by standing against a corrupt general. I left the service with my head held high after confronting former Director General of National Security Abdelghani Hamel, during the dark era of the “gang.” When I exposed a health-threatening scandal of recycled medical waste being reused in plastic cups, Hamel summoned me and demanded, “Who is backing you?” My answer was: “The wall behind me.” I walked out upright and honorable. You, by contrast, once groveled to businessman Tahkout just to retrieve a suspended driver’s license from the most junior policeman. The same police force you mocked is worthier and more honorable than you will ever be.
There are recordings on YouTube exposing your servility to Tahkout—now imprisoned in El Harrach Prison—to former fugitive minister Abdeslam Bouchouareb, and to ex-Sonatrach CEO Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour, who also ended up behind bars. You were nothing but a mercenary, a pawn moved by whomever paid you. These are not allegations—they are facts for anyone willing to open their eyes.
I am not enslaved by dirty money, nor have I ever resorted to your vile methods of character assassination. I am a self-made journalist, relying only on my pen, my effort, and my love for Algeria. You, on the other hand, see journalism only as a ladder for begging and profiteering.
I am also known in Morocco—for my uncompromising hostility to the Makhzen regime and my firm stance against it. You, however, are known there as a service provider, a convenient agent for hire. That is the difference between us: I stand against Algeria’s enemies, while you lean on them for support.
Though I have never personally met the Director of Communication, Information, and Guidance of the People’s National Army, I am proud of this patriot’s efforts at the helm of his directorate, serving both the military institution and Algeria through the realm of communications. I am honored that my writing in support of the ANP makes me a target of its detractors. For me, that is the greatest testament: I endure the attacks of traitors and enemies just as our soldiers endure them on the battlefield against terrorism and treachery. My weapon happens to be a pen, but I stand in the same ranks.
Your desperate attempts to tarnish my reputation are nothing but the reflection of your resentment toward Dzair Tube. You know full well that this platform terrified you and others like you—traitors, mercenaries, and enemies of Algeria. You even begged a journalist once to delete an article exposing your links to the LGBT community. Today, you continue your smear campaign, but it will fail.
It is no surprise that your lies also target my colleagues, including Rafik Chelghoum, a principled and professional journalist of unquestionable patriotism. He has interviewed the President of the Republic and leading figures, proving himself in the highest standards of professional journalism. His platform, Algérie Now, is renowned for balanced and insightful political analysis. I am proud to call him a colleague and friend. You, however, invent falsehoods against a man you do not even know.
You may spread insults and fabrications endlessly, Semmar, but you cannot rewrite the truth. I am a free and patriotic journalist, a moral Muslim, an Algerian Arab, a voracious reader, a self-made intellectual. I am proud of every step I have taken to serve my country. Every arrow you hurl at me only strengthens my conviction that I am on the right path: the path of patriotism, the path of truth, the path of Algeria—my beloved homeland that you, the mercenary of our enemies, have betrayed.

Dzair Tube employs over forty young professionals and has graduated dozens of journalists, instilling in them professionalism and patriotism.
This is not boasting—it is a statement of fact: Dzair Tube is a national media institution devoted to a single mission: defending Algeria and its institutions, exposing traitors and mercenaries. We dedicate all our resources and the full efforts of our youthful team to unmasking plots against the country, inside and outside, through written, spoken, and visual media. Abdou Semmar: From the Makhzen’s Megaphone to Mossad’s Pawn
Now let us speak frankly about the so-called journalist Abdou Semmar, who styles himself as an investigative reporter while mastering only one trade: paid propaganda.
Algeriepart: A Yellow Rag for Sale by the Column
He claimed his platform was independent. In reality, it was nothing but a media bazaar. Pay more, you get favorable coverage. Pay less, you are viciously attacked. Operated from France by his second wife as executive director, alongside Samir Alounas—once a translator for “Amir DZ” turned fabricator of phony reports—Algeriepart was not journalism, it was rental service.
From Tahkout’s Errand Boy to Ould Kaddour’s Lackey
A glance at his archives reveals that Semmar was never more than Tahkout’s press secretary, Ould Kaddour’s on-demand correspondent, and Bouchouareb’s ghostwriter. They paid, he wrote. They ordered, he obeyed. This was not journalism—it was servitude.
The Moroccan Makhzen: The First Step in a Career of Servility
On French channels, he parroted the Moroccan regime’s narrative on Western Sahara as though he were the official spokesman of their foreign ministry. It was not conviction, but contract—an employment deal binding him to the Makhzen as its paid megaphone.
From the Makhzen to Mossad: The Ultimate Betrayal
When the Makhzen tired of him, Mossad picked him up. He found his comfort zone on i24 News, the Zionist channel, where he was paid handsomely to vilify Algeria and undermine its pro-Palestinian stance. This was not merely treason—it was the sale of his dignity, body, and soul.
A Pathetic Propagandist
Despite his noise, Algerians never took him seriously. He became a national punchline, a caricature of the mercenary journalist. Inside Algeria, he is dismissed as a clown; abroad, channels use him as a disposable extra before discarding him.
Abdou Semmar—no matter how loud you shout—you will remain nothing more than a servant who shuffled from Tahkout’s table to Bouchouareb’s, to Ould Kaddour’s, and finally found himself begging scraps at Mossad’s banquet.
You have lost everything: homeland, credibility, respect—and perhaps even the price of your dignity. I, on the other hand, grow stronger with every attack you launch. I write with the ink of patriotism, building a pure media edifice named Dzair Tube: a national platform that serves the people.
