Minister Meziane Honours Outstanding Students from the Families of Communication Sector Workers

Algiers, Algeria | In a ceremony marked by pride, encouragement, and a clear vision for the future, Minister of Communication Mohamed Meziane on Thursday honoured outstanding students who excelled in the 2024 Baccalaureate (BAC) and the Middle School Certificate (BEM) examinations from among the children of the sector’s workforce. The event, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Algiers, brought together directors and representatives of national media institutions in a celebration that underscored the ministry’s commitment to rewarding merit and nurturing talent.

Addressing the gathering, Meziane described the initiative as “a unifying moment that reflects our deep appreciation for knowledge and the hard work of our children—bearers of a future we envision as promising and bright.” He emphasised that the ceremony formed part of a broader strategy aimed at “strengthening the positive momentum sought among the laureates, in order to encourage them to persist in their academic pursuits, while recognising their spirit of initiative and dedication to work.”

Highlighting the Ministry’s role beyond its administrative and media functions, Meziane stated that this recognition was “a form of motivation and support which the Ministry of Communication is proud to extend to the employees of the sector, in acknowledgment of their dedication and as an investment in the success of their children.”

The Minister paid tribute to the exceptional efforts made by the honoured students over the academic year, urging them to “remain steadfast in their commitment, to persevere on their path, and to uphold the noble moral values that will guide them in their academic and personal journeys.”
