The French Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) assigned Sifaoui to missions in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and later infiltrated him into the Grand Mosque of Paris to monitor Muslim congregants—a move widely regarded as an act of religious and cultural subversion.

Following a visit to the Zionist entity, where he met a man named Rabin, Sifaoui underwent a personal transformation. He adopted a new military-style fitness regimen and intensified his efforts against Algeria, shifting from covert espionage to overt media campaigns designed to discredit Algerian institutions, leadership, and societal cohesion.

In recent years, Sifaoui has become one of the most active figures in French media pushing anti-Algerian narratives, often echoing the rhetoric of hostile intelligence agencies.
