ALGIERS- In a deeply unsettling turn of events, the Moroccan regime has begun forcefully evicting its own citizens from their homes, following final court rulings that transferred property ownership to Moroccan Zionists. Security forces have been conducting these evictions, leaving numerous families stranded on the streets with their belongings scattered, a situation exacerbated by the onset of the cold weather.

The legal decisions, issued by Moroccan judicial authorities, have led to the forcible eviction of citizens who suddenly find themselves homeless. The justification for these actions revolves around the alleged ownership of the properties by Moroccan Zionists, a move that has drawn widespread condemnation.

Dire Conditions and Chilling Parallels

As security forces carry out these eviction operations, the homes left vacant are handed over to Moroccan Zionists who have returned from the occupied territories. This unfolding scenario draws chilling parallels to historical events, reminiscent of the Palestinian Nakba of 1948, deepening the anguish of Moroccan families expelled from their homes.

The families, now facing harsh conditions, are resisting the arbitrary evictions and rejecting the unjust policies of the regime. They argue that the eviction orders issued by the Moroccan judiciary lack legal foundation and are unjust, particularly since the homes belong to the ousted rightful owners.

Legal and Humanitarian Concerns

Legal experts, including lawyers representing the affected families, have strongly criticized the eviction methods, deeming them unlawful and in direct violation of human rights. They argue that the forced removals do not take into account the unique circumstances of the families involved, including the displacement of children, women, the sick, and the vulnerable onto the streets.
