Morocco and the Zionist Entity: Twin Occupations, Shared Impunity

Algiers – September 2025 – The occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco and the Zionist entity’s apartheid regime in Palestine are not two isolated tragedies—they are the twin faces of the same colonial coin. One has entrenched its illegal grip on the Sahrawi people since 1975, while the other has imposed a genocidal system of displacement, colonization, and apartheid on the Palestinian people since 1948. Together, they embody an arrogance that tramples international law, disregards United Nations resolutions, and openly mocks the rulings of the world’s highest courts.
In Gaza, the Zionists have turned an entire strip of land into a killing field, engaging in relentless bombings, mass displacement, and the deliberate targeting of civilians. These crimes are not merely alleged—they are documented in the archives of the UN General Assembly, the International Court of Justice, and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The ongoing carnage is not a war; it is an orchestrated campaign of ethnic cleansing and extermination designed to erase a people from their homeland.
In Western Sahara, Morocco’s occupation stands in direct violation of international legality. The ICJ’s 1975 advisory opinion, UN Resolution 1514 on decolonization, and repeated rulings by the Court of Justice of the European Union—spanning 2016 to 2024—have all reaffirmed that Morocco has neither sovereignty nor administrative authority over the territory. Exploiting Sahrawi resources without their consent is an act of plunder, pure and simple. Yet Rabat persists, buttressed by a 2,700-kilometer militarized wall studded with landmines—a scar of apartheid across African soil.
The two regimes are bound not only by their methods of domination but by their unholy alliance. The Makhzen’s normalization with the Zionist entity has yielded joint ventures in military technology, intelligence sharing, and cyber surveillance. This axis of colonialism, draped in the language of “cooperation,” is in fact a pact of oppression that consolidates tyranny across the Maghreb and the Middle East.
Their playbook is as cynical as it is predictable: normalize through culture and sport, launder crimes through festivals and stadiums, and mask occupation behind international spectacles. Morocco eyes the 2030 World Cup as its crown jewel, while the Zionist entity pushes deeper into European competitions and cultural arenas. Both rely on distraction; both deserve isolation.
History teaches us the way forward. Just as the global boycott movement hastened the downfall of apartheid South Africa, so too must the world rally to boycott these regimes of occupation and genocide. Boycott the Zionist entity for its ongoing extermination in Palestine. Boycott Morocco for its illegal occupation of Western Sahara. Boycott the 2030 World Cup—a tournament tainted as a propaganda platform for colonial rule.
The Moroccan monarchy and the Zionist entity are not anomalies—they are symptoms of the same disease: systemic occupation, apartheid, and genocidal policies. The answer is neither silence nor complicity, but resolute action. Boycott, resistance, and internationalist solidarity remain the only weapons capable of confronting this alliance of impunity.
