Morocco Hands Its Security to the Zionist Entity: The Suicide-Drone Factory in Benslimane and the Collapse of National Sovereignty

Algiers – November 2025 – In a development that starkly reveals the disintegration of Morocco’s strategic autonomy, Hebrew-language media recently confirmed the establishment of a military drone-manufacturing facility belonging to Zionist company BlueBird Aero Systems, a subsidiary of the Zionist entity’s aerospace industries, in the city of Benslimane near Casablanca. Far from a sign of technological progress, this step represents a dangerous deepening of Morocco’s subordination to the Zionist entity, effectively transforming Moroccan soil into an industrial-military extension of Zionist power.
The SpyX drone being produced in this facility embodies the severity of this shift: a loitering munition equipped with a 2.5-kg explosive warhead, capable of reaching 250 km/h and performing autonomous missions for up to ninety minutes. According to Zionist reports, the Moroccan army has already tested this system in March 2024. Crucially, this is the first factory of its kind for the Zionist company to be established outside the occupying entity in the Middle East and North Africa—a clear indication that Rabat has granted the Zionists unprecedented military access in the region.
While Moroccan authorities market this deal as an “advance toward security independence,” reality tells a radically different story. This is not a sovereign technological achievement but rather the transplantation of a Zionist military doctrine onto Moroccan territory, where Moroccan engineers are merely trained to assemble and maintain these drones. It is not cooperation—it is a structural insertion of Zionist military influence inside Morocco, enabling the Zionist entity to expand its operational reach deep into North Africa.
This strategic shift comes as France—long Morocco’s traditional defence supplier—rapidly loses its position. Rabat has not only procured drone systems from the Zionist entity but also purchased advanced defence platforms such as Barak-8 and Spyder, in addition to precision missiles and guided systems from Zionist companies like Elbit and Israel Aerospace Industries. The breakaway from France is being replaced by a far more dangerous dependency: an asymmetric security alliance with the Zionist entity that serves Zionist geopolitical interests far more than Moroccan national sovereignty.
The fundamental question is unavoidable: why has Morocco chosen to pivot from French influence to Zionist military dependence? The answer lies in Rabat’s pursuit of a partner willing to back its regional ambitions, particularly regarding Western Sahara. Yet this pursuit undermines Morocco’s own independence and destabilizes an environment already fraught with geopolitical tension. The Benslimane factory ultimately serves the Zionist entity first, embedding its military footprint in one of the most sensitive regions in Africa.
