National Solidarity Ministry Releases Practical Guide for Women Victims of Violence

Algiers, Algeria | May 10th, 2025 —  The Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs has announced the release of a practical guide dedicated to supporting women who are victims of physical or psychological violence.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, this publication is part of the broader framework of commitments made by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, particularly in relation to the empowerment of women and the protection of their rights against all forms of violence and discrimination.

The guide is designed to reinforce the participation of women in social development and to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provides comprehensive information on the various mechanisms available for supporting women victims, including legal protection, reporting procedures, psychological support, and access to key social services.

Among the services highlighted are the Alimony Guarantee Fund and the Compensation Fund for Victims of Human Trafficking, both of which play a crucial role in supporting affected individuals.

The publication also includes information on vocational training and educational opportunities, as well as public health services, with emphasis on tailored psychological assistance for women who have experienced violence.

This initiative reflects an institutional effort to ensure that victims are aware of their rights and of the services available to them, thereby strengthening existing support networks and promoting social inclusion.
