November’s Enduring Flame: El Binaa Movement Reaffirms Algeria’s Revolutionary Legacy and Commitment to Sovereignty, Unity, and Justice

Algiers – October 2025 – In a solemn message marking the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Algerian Revolution, Abdelkader Bengrina, President of El Binaa al-Watani Movement, reaffirmed the timeless relevance of November 1st as a living school of values, sacrifice, and national renewal. The statement, rich in patriotic symbolism and historical depth, presented November not merely as a memory but as a continuous project—one that shapes Algeria’s moral, political, and civilizational trajectory in an increasingly turbulent and polarized world.
“November is a school that renews itself,” declared Bengrina, invoking the immortal spirit of the six founding revolutionaries who, with indomitable resolve, ignited a war of liberation that redefined Algeria’s destiny. He emphasized that their legacy remains the cornerstone of the modern Algerian state—a sovereign nation built on dignity, willpower, and unbreakable independence.
The declaration of El Binaa Movement underscored that true patriotism is not a sentimental attachment but a moral and political responsibility—a constant endeavor to defend, build, and renew the homeland. “Defending Algeria today,” the statement stressed, “is not only done on the battlefield but in the arenas of knowledge, production, and awareness.” This renewal of the revolutionary spirit, Bengrina affirmed, is the key to completing the journey of independence—political, economic, and cultural—initiated by the martyrs of November.
The statement outlined ten pivotal principles embodying the contemporary “Message of November.” Foremost among them is the imperative of national cohesion and unity of purpose. Bengrina called upon all political and societal forces to strengthen their alignment around the national project through inclusive dialogue and cooperation rather than polarization and fragmentation. Only through this spirit of solidarity, he insisted, can Algeria ensure a balanced renaissance worthy of its revolutionary origins.
The El Binaa Movement placed particular emphasis on the nation’s youth, describing them as “the state’s most valuable capital.” Echoing the revolutionary fervor of the youth who spearheaded the liberation struggle, Bengrina urged the state to empower new generations to contribute meaningfully to decision-making, knowledge creation, and national production—turning them into the architects of Algeria’s promising future.
Bengrina also stressed the necessity of a unified national front among political parties, elites, and civil forces to safeguard Algeria’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national security. “The unity of purpose around the great causes of the nation,” he asserted, “gives true meaning to politics—away from the narrow logic of personal or partisan interests.”
Calling for stronger participatory democracy, he invited the government to forge genuine partnerships with active political parties and civil society institutions in the spirit of shared responsibility and collective progress. Algeria, he reminded, “is built through the integration of all wills, guided by a participatory and visionary approach.”
The statement further underscored the crucial role of intellectuals and the media in protecting the collective consciousness against misinformation and foreign interference. “The battle today,” it warned, “is a battle of awareness as much as it is a battle of borders and sovereignty.”
True to Algeria’s liberation identity, Bengrina reaffirmed his movement’s unwavering solidarity with just causes across the globe—foremost among them the cause of Palestine, “a matter of faith and conscience for the Algerian nation,” and that of the Sahrawi people, whose struggle for self-determination remains one of the last anti-colonial fronts in the modern world. “Algeria’s positions,” Bengrina emphasized, “are a reflection of its revolutionary values and its rejection of domination in all forms.”
On the regional front, the El Binaa Movement stressed that Algeria’s stability, African and Maghrebian integration, and diversified partnerships constitute strategic foundations for safeguarding national interests while ensuring independence from foreign dependency and bias.
In a concluding note resonating with both emotion and determination, Bengrina declared that Algeria, “born from the womb of resistance, will never retreat before new challenges.” The spirit of November, he said, still animates the nation’s conscience, inspiring the building of a strong, just, and independent state—faithful to its people, history, and universal humanitarian mission.
He concluded with a call to transform the commemoration of November into action: “The greatest tribute we can offer to our martyrs is to move from remembering the revolution to practicing it in our policies, from glorifying its slogans to realizing its principles in the field.”
