Ooredoo Becomes Algeria’s First Mobile Operator to Attain “THI9A” Digital Trust Certification

Algiers – September 2025 – Ooredoo Algérie has marked a watershed moment in the digital transformation of the nation’s telecom sector by becoming the first mobile operator in Algeria to obtain the highly coveted “THI9A” electronic trust certification. This distinction, delivered by the Electronic Certification Authority (AECE) under the supervision of the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority (ARPCE), underscores both the company’s pioneering role and the country’s determination to foster a secure, transparent, and forward-looking digital economy.
The “THI9A” certification—introduced officially by the ARPCE in collaboration with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications—represents a cornerstone in Algeria’s strategy to establish a reliable digital framework. It guarantees the authenticity, legality, and security of electronic transactions while streamlining procedures, reducing bureaucratic delays, and enhancing transparency for economic operators across sectors.
