Parties, Organizations, and Unions Congratulate President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on His Re-election

Algiers, Algeria | September 11th, 2024 — Following the successful presidential election on September 7, 2024, political parties, organizations, and unions in Algeria have extended their congratulations to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, celebrating his re-election for a second term. These entities highlighted that the election results reflect the people’s aspirations and further consolidate democratic values in the country.

The Front for Good Governance (FBG) expressed its satisfaction with the electoral outcome, hailing Tebboune as the “candidate of national consensus” and emphasizing that his victory, secured by a majority vote, will enable him to build on past achievements, continue reforms, and strengthen Algeria’s foreign policy, which is founded on freedom of choice and sovereign decision-making.

The FBG further noted that the election represented a triumph for Algeria, as it aligned with the aspirations of both the public and the political and associative sectors to safeguard national unity and reinforce the state, allowing Algeria to continue supporting legitimate causes worldwide.

The National Entente Movement echoed these sentiments, calling the election a “precious gain for the democratic process” and a pivotal milestone in Algeria’s progress.

Similarly, the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA) affirmed that the election marked a crucial step in upholding democratic values and the popular will, expressing confidence in Tebboune’s ability to continue the reform and development processes he initiated in 2019 to build a strong and prosperous Algeria.

The Movement of Dynamic Algerians in France (Moudaf) emphasized that the presidential election demonstrated the Algerian people’s maturity in democratic practices, reinforcing the nation’s strengths. The group added that by renewing their trust in Tebboune, Algerians had clearly expressed their desire to see the ambitious “Algeria 2024/2030” project through to success, with the Algerian diaspora fully committed to contributing to this vision.

The National Solidarity Organization for Associations (ONSA) described the people’s renewed confidence in Tebboune as a “responsible and historic choice” by a great and mature people, expressing their aspirations for a stable and prosperous new Algeria.

The National Autonomous Union of Public Administration Personnel (SNAPAP) called the election a “decisive and historic moment in the building of a victorious and prosperous new Algeria,” crediting Tebboune’s clear-sighted policies for guiding this progress. SNAPAP also noted that the people’s trust in the president reaffirms their desire for a leadership that addresses their demands and consolidates the foundations of democracy.
