ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has appointed Mohamed Hassouni as an advisor to the President, responsible for religious affairs, zaouias, and Quranic schools, effective from this Monday.
In this newly assigned role, Mohamed Hassouni is entrusted with advising the President on matters related to religious affairs, overseeing the administration of zaouias (Islamic religious institutions), and contributing to the development and management of Quranic schools.
The appointment reflects President Tebboune’s commitment to addressing and managing religious affairs in Algeria and ensuring the proper functioning of religious institutions. Mohamed Hassouni’s experience and expertise in religious matters make him well-suited for this crucial advisory position.
