ALGIERS- Nourredine Benbraham, the President of the National Observatory for Civil Society, emphasized the pressing challenge of persuading university students to become future entrepreneurs rather than facing unemployment. His remarks were delivered during the closing ceremony of the second edition of the “Young Idea” caravan at the Algiers Hotel in the capital.

In his speech, Benbraham highlighted the significant task of instilling in young minds the idea of becoming project owners in the future. He emphasized a dynamic linked to the willpower of the youth, urging society to embrace the concept of entrepreneurship.

“Through local components, our youth are creating wonders and establishing economic ideas. There are young people who have undertaken a project that translates sign language for the deaf-mute during the COVID-19 period,” stated Benbraham.

According to Benbraham, shortcomings should be transformed into challenges, serving as a starting point for entrepreneurial projects. He advocated for a shift from the concept of “paperwork” to digitization, which combats corruption.

The president of the National Observatory for Civil Society urged society to recognize the potential of youth in creating innovative and economically viable projects. By showcasing examples of successful initiatives, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Benbraham aimed to inspire a shift in mindset towards entrepreneurship.
