Speaking at the nationwide launch of a housing distribution operation, President Tebboune proudly stated that Algeria’s housing efforts are unparalleled globally and are the envy of its adversaries.
During the event, President Tebboune reviewed a comprehensive report presented by Minister of Housing, Urbanism, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, detailing the state of the housing sector and the distribution of homes from July 5, 2020, to July 5, 2024. He expressed pride in the fact that these homes are entirely Algerian-made, reflecting the nation’s sovereignty and self-sufficiency in addressing its citizens’ housing needs.
President Tebboune lamented the lack of adequate media coverage for Algeria’s development efforts, particularly in highlighting the establishment of new cities, such as Sidi Abdellah. He recalled the transformation of arid land into a thriving urban center, symbolizing Algeria’s commitment to modernization and urban planning. Commending Algerians benefiting from these initiatives, he urged them to take pride in their country’s achievements, which were made possible through the sacrifices of millions during the independence struggle.
In a poignant tribute, President Tebboune honored the memory of Mujahid Othmane Belouizdad, whose legacy lives on in one of the districts of Sidi Abdellah. He reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to meeting citizens’ housing needs and ensuring that Algeria continues to progress and thrive in the face of challenges.
