Algiers, Algeria | June 5th, 2024 — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has terminated the duties of Mohamed Bouakaz, the Presidential Advisor in charge of the General Directorate of Protocol. The decision, announced today by the presidency in an official communiqué, comes in response to severe professional misconduct and ethical violations committed by Bouakaz.

Grounds for Dismissal

The communiqué highlighted that Bouakaz’s dismissal was necessitated by his involvement in serious infractions that breached the professional code of ethics.
