President Tebboune Honors the Nation’s Soldiers and Healthcare Heroes, Celebrates Eid Al-Adha with Dignitaries and Citizens at the Grand Mosque of Algiers

Algiers, Algeria | June 6th, 2025 — In a heartfelt message to the people of Algeria, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has extended his warmest Eid al-Adha greetings to two key pillars of the nation’s strength and well-being: the People’s National Army (ANP) and the dedicated healthcare professionals who continue to serve the country tirelessly, even during the sacred days of the holiday.

In a post on his official Facebook page, President Tebboune praised the brave men and women of the People’s National Army, the proud successors of the Liberation Army, for their steadfast dedication and patriotism. He wrote, “On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the People’s National Army, the worthy heir of the National Liberation Army, to all its units across the military regions—officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. My greetings also go to the courageous heroes deployed on the borders of our beloved homeland.” The President’s words reflected a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the country’s military personnel, especially those stationed in challenging areas to protect Algeria’s borders.

In his message to the nation’s healthcare workers, President Tebboune also expressed his gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and all personnel in the healthcare sector for their unwavering commitment, especially during such a festive yet challenging time. “I send my warmest Eid al-Adha wishes to all doctors and healthcare workers, who continue their duties without interruption during these blessed days. May God grant us all good health and well-being,” the President remarked, acknowledging the tireless efforts of those working on the frontlines to safeguard public health.

Earlier in the day, President Tebboune marked the occasion by performing the Eid al-Adha prayers at the Grand Mosque of Algiers, located in the Al-Mohammadia district. The event, which took place amidst a serene and pious atmosphere, saw the participation of high-ranking state officials, government members, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps from Arab and Islamic countries stationed in Algeria. A large crowd of citizens also joined in the prayer, united in their reverence for the sacred occasion.

The Eid al-Adha celebrations this year thus bore witness to a spirit of unity, reverence, and national pride, as Algeria’s leaders and citizens came together to observe the occasion and honor those who contribute so much to the country’s security and welfare.
