The President also seized the occasion to commend the resounding success of the 2025 Intra-African Trade Fair, hosted in Algiers, which he hailed as a testament to Algeria’s remarkable organizational capabilities and growing influence on both the African and international stage. “This event has further consolidated Algeria’s credibility and leadership,” he remarked, noting that the fair not only elevated Algeria’s profile but also provided a platform for continental economic integration.
Turning to political leadership, Tebboune defended his decision to appoint Sifi Ghrieb as Prime Minister, asserting that his in-depth knowledge of national realities and practical expertise aligns with the administration’s political and economic vision. This, the President emphasized, ensures coherence in policy execution at a critical juncture for Algeria’s development.
On agriculture, Tebboune called for nothing less than a paradigm shift, urging the sector to embrace modernization and digital transformation. “Agriculture is a science and a technology,” he insisted, highlighting the need to leverage innovative tools and methods to secure food sovereignty and adapt to global challenges.
Finally, the President announced a partial revision of the Electoral Code, targeting specific technical aspects to bolster both transparency and efficiency in the electoral process. This initiative, he noted, reflects Algeria’s ongoing commitment to reinforcing democratic governance through institutional reforms.
