President Tebboune Highlights Depth of Relations Between Algeria and Mozambique

ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the Republic of Algeria emphasized on Thursday in Algiers that the visit of President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of the Republic of Mozambique to Algeria reflects the depth of relations and fraternal ties between the two countries.

During a joint press conference at the end of their discussions at the Presidential Palace, President Tebboune stated that President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi’s friendship and working visit to Algeria “reflects the depth of relations and fraternal ties between the two countries.”

President Tebboune assured that “Algeria stands by the side of the Republic of Mozambique in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.”

Regarding their discussions, President Tebboune indicated that they focused on ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, scientific research, vocational training, fisheries, and military cooperation.

He further mentioned that he and President Nyusi exchanged views on “several international and regional issues of common interest, including the situation in the Sahel” and “developments in Palestine and the massacres perpetrated by the Zionist occupation in Gaza.”

The visit of President Nyusi underscores the enduring bonds of friendship and collaboration between Algeria and Mozambique, with both leaders expressing their commitment to further deepen and expand bilateral relations across various sectors.
