President Tebboune Honors Top Achievers in Baccalaureate and Middle School Examinations at State Ceremony

People’s Palace Hosts a Celebration Recognizing Academic Excellence, Including Exceptional Performers from Military Schools and Students with Special Needs

Algiers, Algeria– Sunday, July 28, 2025 | In a solemn event held on Monday at the People’s Palace in Algiers, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune presided over the official ceremony honoring the outstanding laureates of the 2025 Baccalaureate and Middle School Certificate (BEM) examinations. The occasion brought together senior state officials, members of the government, and proud families of the distinguished students, underscoring the Algerian state’s unwavering commitment to academic merit and educational excellence.

Celebrating the Brightest Minds: National Baccalaureate Laureates Honored

President Tebboune personally awarded the nation’s top achievers, beginning with Raounak Zani, the highest-ranked student in Algeria for the 2025 Baccalaureate session. Zani, from Sahraoui Zoghlami High School in Taoura (Souk Ahras), achieved an exceptional average of 19.70/20 in the Electrical Engineering stream.

She was followed by Yahiaoui Malak, the second national laureate from Mekkioui Mamoune High School in Mascara, who earned 19.52/20 in Mathematics, and Nardjes Kamel, the third top performer from Zineb Oum El Massakine High School in Algiers, who achieved 19.52/20 in the Technical Mathematics-Electrical Engineering stream.

Special Recognition for Cadets of the Nation

In a tribute to the exceptional discipline and excellence of Algeria’s military schools, President Tebboune awarded Mouayad Saadi, the leading laureate among the Cadets of the Nation, who obtained an impressive 19.41/20 in Mathematics. A distinction was also granted to Hadjera Kadari from the Sétif Cadet School, who scored 18.65/20 in Experimental Sciences.

Inclusion and Equity: Honoring Students with Special Needs

The ceremony also highlighted Algeria’s inclusive educational policy by celebrating outstanding achievements among students with disabilities. The President honored:

  • Hamdani Salah from Allagui-Salah High School in Dréan (El Tarf), who scored 18.29/20 in Management and Economics.

  • Mounib Abderrahmane from Frères-Chouhada-Lamrani High School in Batna, with an average of 16.87/20.

  • Tidjani Ilyes from Hali-Abdelkarim High School in El Oued, achieving 15.93/20 in Experimental Sciences.

Excellence at the Middle School Level: BEM Top Performers Celebrated

President Tebboune extended the honors to the best performers in the Middle School Certificate examination:

  • Talhaoui Meriem from Ramdani-Hassouni Middle School in Biskra, who ranked first nationally with 19.58/20.

  • Bakir Anis from Khennouche-Ahmed Middle School in Algiers, securing 19.46/20.

  • Kheddache Fatima from Amira-Moussa Middle School in Jijel, also achieving 19.46/20.

The leading Cadet of the Nation at the BEM level, Belgourane Hadjala Mohamed Islam, was likewise distinguished, having scored an impressive 19.04/20.

Among the BEM candidates with special needs, recognition went to:

  • Meghezi Mohamed Ayoub with 18.01/20,

  • Djaâfari Alaa Ayat Al-Rahmane with 17.44/20,

  • Kadi Halima with 15.81/20.

The ceremony concluded with an official photo session where the honored students posed alongside the President of the Republic, capturing a moment that symbolizes both individual achievement and national educational aspirations.
