President Tebboune Inaugurates 56th Algiers International Fair Under the Banner of Sustainable Cooperation

With Oman as Guest of Honour, the 2025 edition of the FIA highlights Algeria’s deepening strategic partnerships and its commitment to inclusive economic development.

Algiers, Algeria | June 23rd, 2025 — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune officially inaugurated the 56th edition of the Algiers International Fair (FIA) on Monday at the Palace of Expositions in Les Pins Maritimes. Held under the theme “For a Mutual and Sustainable Cooperation,” this year’s edition serves as a platform to reaffirm Algeria’s ambition to diversify its economy and strengthen its international partnerships.

Accompanied by top state and military officials, including the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, President Tebboune commenced his visit at the pavilion of the Sultanate of Oman—the Guest of Honour of this edition.

Oman’s participation comes as a symbol of the growing strategic alliance between Algiers and Muscat, bolstered by high-level visits and the recent signing of a series of bilateral cooperation agreements spanning investment, trade, and industry.

The Omani pavilion showcased key investment opportunities in areas aligned with Algeria’s economic priorities, such as energy, logistics, food processing, and renewable technologies. The visit signaled both countries’ mutual readiness to elevate their economic cooperation to a new level.

President Tebboune then proceeded to the Palestinian pavilion, a space celebrating the deep-rooted cultural heritage of Palestine, both tangible and intangible. This gesture reaffirmed Algeria’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and underscored the cultural and political solidarity that binds the two peoples.

The Head of State concluded his tour at the stand of Algerian General Mechanics (AGM-Holding), a flagship industrial enterprise based in Sidi Bel Abbès. AGM presented its advanced capabilities in agricultural machinery and equipment production, highlighting the resilience and innovation driving Algeria’s industrial sector. The president received in-depth briefings on ongoing projects and future export ambitions.

The 56th edition of the FIA has drawn hundreds of exhibitors from across the world, creating an ideal environment for business networking, cross-border partnerships, and the promotion of Algerian-made products on the international stage.
