ALGIERS- In a significant milestone for Algeria’s healthcare sector, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune inaugurated the newly constructed burns hospital in Zéralda, Algiers. The inauguration ceremony took place today, marking the official opening of the state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing advanced medical care to burn victims.
The burns hospital, named after the late Mujahid and former Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr Saïd Chibane, stands as a testament to Algeria’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring the well-being of its citizens. The President’s presence at the ceremony underscored the government’s determination to prioritize the nation’s healthcare needs.
With a capacity of 140 beds, the burns hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology, specialized medical equipment, and a highly skilled medical team trained in the treatment of burn injuries. The facility aims to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care, catering to the specific needs of burn patients. This hospital will play a pivotal role in improving access to quality healthcare services for individuals affected by burn injuries in Algiers and surrounding areas.
The inauguration of this burns hospital comes on the heels of President Tebboune’s recent initiatives. Earlier, the President laid the foundation stones for two seawater desalination plants in Cap Djinet (Boumerdes) and Fouka (Tipaza), emphasizing the government’s focus on bolstering essential infrastructure to address the nation’s growing needs.
