President Tebboune Presides Over 51st Edition of Algeria’s Military Football Cup Final

ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of National Defense, presided over the ceremony marking the culmination of the 51st edition of Algeria’s Military Football Cup. The event took place at the “Chahid Messaoud Boudjeriou” Center for the Regrouping and Preparation of Military Sports Teams (CREPESM) in Benaknoun, Algiers, this Tuesday.

Upon his arrival at the venue, President Tebboune was warmly received by General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP). The national anthem echoed through the air as formations from various military forces of the ANP paid homage to the President.

During the ceremony, President Tebboune extended his greetings to key military figures, including the General of the Army, Commander of the Republican Guard, Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, Commanders of the Armed Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the head of the Employment-Preparation Department of the ANP’s general staff, and the head of the military sports service.

This event not only showcases the athletic prowess within the military but also serves as a symbol of national unity and the spirit of sportsmanship that transcends the boundaries of the football field.
